Finding the ease in higher notes

Updated: Dec 20, 2025

Does your upper register sound as good as your lower (chest) voice? For the longest time my own higher voice was the poor second cousin to my lower register. This PDF covers the four areas I discovered that has transformed my voice:

  1. Release tension

  2. Reframe the way you think about "high" and "low" notes

  3. Physical gestures work!

  4. Warm-up with instinctive sounds

FAQ

How do physical gestures help with upper-register singing?

Natural Body movements serve to relieve tension in the voice by engaging the body as it would if you were passionately talking to someone. It releases unnecessary tension by grounding the body and using large muscles, which keeps the brain's attention away from the vocal folds.
